Continue acruss the arid Tibetan Plateau to Gyantse, at the head of the old trading route to India and Shigatse, home to the famous Tashihunpo Monastery and the Panchen Lama.. The final leg or your extraordinary journey descends througt an impressive gorge, then winds through the terraced hillsides of Nepal to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Kathmandu (By Flight)

Today we are transferred to the Airport to take early flight to Kathmandu, upon arrival check in at the hotel and our rest of day is free for leisure and Overnight at the hotel.

 

 

Day 02: Kathmandu

Breakfast & commence your city tour covering Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Sqaure and Swyambhunath Stupa….. Overnight Stay at Hotel in Kathmandu

 

 

 

Day 03: Kathmandu -Zangmu / Neyalam (3600m) – 150 Km

Departure at 05: 30 hrs from The infront of Sanchayakosh building in Thamel. Approx. 05 hours drive to Kodari (China/Nepal boarder), Half an hour drive to Zhangmu, where after completion of immigration formalities we drive further to Neylam following BhoteKoshi river in a deep valley with some overflowing waterfalls. Overnight in guesthouse

 

 

Day 04: Neylam – Tingri / Lhatse (4050m) – 285 Kms


Drive through Neyalam Pass (3800m) with the view of Jugal Himal. A continued drive via Lalungla Pass (5050m) has some of the outstanding view of Mt. Xixapangma (8013m highest in Tibet) Mt. Makalu (8464m), Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8201m) and Mt.Everest (8848m). Overnight in guesthouseDay 05: Bandipur – Pokhara 
Breakfast at the hotel and today we drive to Pokhara and by late afternoon we reach Pokhara and check in at the hotel and our rest of day is free for leisure and overnight at the hotel.

 

 

Day 05: Lhatse-Xigatse (3900m) – 90kms, 

Drive to Xigatse, the place of the famous Tashilumpo Monastery and the seat of Panchen Lama. Overnight at Hotel Samdrupse or similar standard.

 

 

Day 06: Xigatse-Gyantse (3950m) – 90kms,

After visiting TashiLumpo Monastery in the morning including the Bazaar of Xigatse. Drive to Gyantse, which is 02 hrs. Gyantse is small busting town steeped in history. It lies 264 kms. Southwest of Lhasa on the northern bank of Nyang Chu river. In the 15th century it served as the capital of a small Kingdom. Visit Kumbum Chorten which was built around 1400 AD. It later became the main center for trade with British India. Overnight in Hotel.

 

 

Day 07: Gyantse-Lhasa (3650m) – 261kms,

08-hrs drive takes you to Lhasa crossing the Karo La Pass (5010m) and Kambala Pass (4794m). The Karo La climbs between two lofty mountains, Nozing Khang Sa (7223m) and Ralung (6236). While driving you will see the Yamdrok Tso (Turquoise Lake) which takes approx. 1 hour to cross around. After passing Kamba La, Lhasa valley is seen to the north. You will also cross the Brahmaputra River. Reaching Lhasa and check into hotel. The accompanied guide will reconfirm your onward airline ticket. Overnight in hotel.)

 

 

 

Day 08-09 : Lhasa 

IN LHASA, These days you will be engrossed with sightseeing and excursions of the Potala Palace, the Jokhang temple, surrounding Barkhor market, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. Overnight in hotel.

 

 

Day 10: Lhasa-Kathmandu,

In the morning after breakfast, transfer to airport 02 hrs. Drive-Representative will assist you. Departure of flight for Kathmandu would be approx. 10.00hrs, China Standard Time and arriving Kathmandu at 09.00 hrs. Nepal Standard time. Flight Lhasa/Kathmandu lasts for 01 hour’s ten minutes. During the flight you will see the following: Yarlung Tsangpo river, Lake Yamdrok, Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m) and Mt. Makalu (8463m) and Mt. Everest (8848m). Weather permitting

 

 

Day 11: Kathmandu – Departure

Breakfast at the hotel and today we are transfer to Kathmandu airport to take return flight to homebound journey.
